You will wake up early and get a packed breakfast. As you wait in the hotel lobby, a representative from Trekking Planner Nepal will pick you up in a private vehicle and take you to the domestic section of Tribhuvan International Airport for a scenic helicopter flight. You will board the plane according to the flight schedule, marking the beginning of the Heli Tour. The representative will help you pass the security check and handle all the logistics.
Once the flight starts, you will take off from Kathmandu to Lukla, the gateway to the Everest region.

Morning: 7-9 am
You will be on the helicopter, enjoying the views of mountain peaks and surrounding landscapes. Prominent peaks like Mt. Everest, Lhotse, Thamserku, Ama Dablam, and many more can be seen above the sky. Surrounding hilly landscapes with dense forests are visible throughout the journey. Similarly, glaciers, lakes, rivers, and traditional Nepalese villages and houses are seen during this epic journey above the clouds. The helicopter ride in Nepal from Kathmandu to Lukla lasts about 45 minutes. As the destination arrives, you will have a 10-15-minute tea break in Lukla, during which the helicopter will refuel. You can also explore the surrounding area; however, the exploration can be limited due to the limited time.
Morning: 10-12 am
As the tea break ends, you will rejoin the helicopter trip and fly towards Everest Base Camp from Lukla. The flight will take about 20 minutes. However, you will not land in the base camp. Instead, you will fly over the base camp and land at Kalapatthar, the highest altitude reached during the Everest Base Camp trek. The flight from Everest Base Camp to Kalapatthar will be an additional 10 minutes, including another 5–10 minutes for landing. Upon landing at Kalapatthar, you can get the nearest view of the mighty Everest. Similarly, the sunrise will be a spectacular picture to witness at Kalapatthar, a key highlight in the Kalapatthar trek. The exploration continues at Kalapatthar with a view of Khumbu Glacier and Khumbu Icefall, the largest glacier in the Everest region.
As the exploration of Kalapatthar is completed, the return journey continues.
Afternoon: 12-2 pm
After a complete and mesmerizing journey to Kalapatthar, the helicopter tour proceeds towards the Everest View Hotel, far from Lukla. As you board the chopper, the flight will take about 10 minutes from Kalapatthar, and the landing time will be about an hour. Once you reach the Everest View Hotel, located under Sagarmatha National Park, you will see the Khumbu region from the viewpoint. You can have your lunch in a place with mountain peaks. Various dishes, as fascinating as the 360-degree view of the mountains, can be selected from the menu. The place is one of the most popular attractions among trekkers and mountaineers.
Afternoon: 2-4 pm
After a splendid time at the Everest View Hotel, you will return to Kathmandu via Lukla. You will hop back in the helicopter and return to Kathmandu along a similar sky route. The flight will take about an hour or more to reach Kathmandu. As you continue the last hour of the flight, you will savor every moment you spend in the Everest region. The site of the mountain region will cherish you again; however, this time, you need to bid farewell to the area. Once you reach Kathmandu, a representative from Nepal Trekking Planner will pick you up in the arrival section and drive you back to your hotel. After getting to the hotel, you will rest, marking the end of the Everest Base Camp Helicopter Tour with a landing tour.
