About Mardi Himal
Nepal is a trekker’s paradise. There are dozens of trekking routes all over Nepal, ranging from easy to extremely difficult. Mardi Himal trek is a hidden treasure that has been a choice of very few trekkers over the years. It is a peaceful trekking path with very few trekkers along the way.
Campers trekked the Mardi Himal unofficially for a long time. The trek route was officially opened in 2011. Few tea houses and guest houses have since opened, but they provide only basic facilities. It is an overlooked trekking route in Nepal that offers stunning views of the Annapurna region, Machhapuchhre Himal, and Himchuli.
Mardi Himal is located at the east of the famous Annapurna Base Camp. The trek is relatively short and comfortable as compared to other trekking routes in Nepal. The trail moves along the ridge and gradually ascents with the highest elevation of 4500m at the Mardi Himal Base Camp. Mardi Himal trek is one of the least travelled trekking routes in Nepal. It is also a low trekking path with the maximum elevation being 4500m.
