Your adventure begins with a scenic drive from Pokhara to Kimche, the starting point of the trek. The journey takes you past rivers, terraced fields, and lush hillsides. From Kimche, a gentle uphill trek leads to the picturesque Gurung village of Ghandruk.
Ghandruk offers stunning views of Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, and Machhapuchhre (Fishtail). The village is rich in Gurung culture and traditions. You can explore the old stone-paved paths, visit the Gurung Museum, or enjoy a warm evening in a cozy teahouse with mountain panoramas.

Today's trail begins with a gradual descent to the Kimrong Khola followed by a steep ascent through forests and scattered villages. The path offers continuous views of Machhapuchhre and Annapurna South.
As you reach Chhomrong, you’ll be welcomed by breathtaking vistas of the Annapurna range. Chhomrong is a charming Gurung village perched on the hillside, serving as a major gateway to Annapurna Sanctuary. It’s the perfect place to rest before heading into higher altitudes.

The trail descends to the Chhomrong Khola via a steep stone staircase before climbing again through dense bamboo and rhododendron forests. As you enter the heart of the forest, the sound of rushing water and chirping birds surrounds you.
The final stretch to Bamboo is cooler and shaded, giving your body a chance to acclimatize. Bamboo is a small settlement nestled in the forest, known for its peaceful ambiance and ideal resting point before ascending to higher altitudes.

Today’s trek follows the Modi Khola upstream, with the path winding through bamboo groves and alpine forest. Along the way, you’ll pass through Dovan and the Himalayan Hotel, with occasional glimpses of waterfalls and icy streams.
As you ascend toward Deurali, the landscape becomes more rugged, and the air thinner. Deurali sits in a dramatic valley surrounded by cliffs and towering peaks, creating a serene, high-mountain atmosphere that hints at the sanctuary ahead.

This is the most rewarding day of the trek as you ascend to both Machhapuchhre Base Camp (MBC) and Annapurna Base Camp (ABC). The trail opens up into a wide glacial valley with incredible views in all directions.
After reaching MBC, you continue your gentle ascent into the sacred Annapurna Sanctuary. Surrounded by a 360° panorama of Annapurna I, Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, and Fishtail, ABC is a spectacular amphitheater of snow-capped giants. Sunset and sunrise here are unforgettable experiences.

Wake up early to witness a magical sunrise over the Annapurna massif before retracing your steps back down the valley. You’ll descend past MBC, Deurali, and Bamboo, enjoying the easier downhill terrain.
Though the distance is long, the descent offers different perspectives of the mountains and lush forest. You'll stop for the night at Sinuwa, a quiet village perched above the river with excellent mountain views and peaceful vibes.

Today’s trek is a pleasant walk through terraced farmlands and hillside villages. You’ll pass through Jhinu Danda, known for its hot springs, where you can pause for a relaxing soak by the riverside.
From Jhinu, the trail crosses a suspension bridge and climbs gently through forest and fields to reach Landruk. This Gurung village offers captivating views of the Annapurna range and a slower pace of life.

Leaving the Annapurna Base Camp trail behind, you begin the ascent toward Mardi Himal. The trail climbs gradually through pristine forest filled with moss-covered trees and wildflowers.
Reaching Forest Camp introduces you to a quieter, less-trodden path. This tranquil setting amidst dense woodland is the perfect spot to connect with nature and prepare for the final approach to Mardi Base Camp.

The trek today is steep but rewarding as you ascend above the tree line. You’ll walk along a narrow ridge with incredible views of Dhaulagiri, Annapurna South, and Machhapuchhre.
High Camp is set dramatically on a ridge, offering jaw-dropping sunset views. With few trekkers around, you’ll enjoy the peaceful mountain ambiance and clear starry skies at night.

Start early for the final push to Mardi Himal Base Camp. As the first light hits the Himalayan peaks, you’ll walk along a dramatic ridge line with panoramic views of Annapurna, Hiunchuli, and the towering Fishtail.
After soaking in the scenery, descend back through Low Camp and into the forest trail leading to Siding Village. From here, a private jeep will transfer you to Pokhara, where your journey concludes—filled with memories of two majestic base camps in one remarkable trek.
