Upon landing at Paro International Airport, you will be welcomed by the fresh mountain air and a serene atmosphere that immediately sets Bhutan apart. Our local representative will greet you and assist with immigration formalities. As you step out, you’ll notice the traditional Bhutanese architecture even in the airport, giving you the first glimpse of the kingdom’s cultural beauty.

From Paro, begin your scenic drive to Thimphu, the capital city of Bhutan. The journey follows the winding Paro Chu River, passing through pine-clad valleys, terraced fields, and charming villages. Along the way, you may catch your first sight of traditional Bhutanese houses and prayer flags fluttering in the breeze. After checking into your hotel in Thimphu, you can rest for a while before exploring the city. In the evening, enjoy a gentle stroll around Thimphu’s streets, visiting local shops and experiencing the peaceful yet vibrant atmosphere of Bhutan’s largest city.

After a steady uphill climb of about two hours, you’ll reach the main viewpoint, where the monastery dramatically clings to a sheer cliff 900 meters above the valley floor—a truly breathtaking sight. Continue the hike to explore the monastery complex, where myth and spirituality come alive. It is believed that Guru Padmasambhava meditated here, making it one of Bhutan’s holiest sites.
