Itinerary
Your adventure begins with a scenic drive from Pokhara to Nayapul, the starting point of the trek. From Nayapul, the trail gently winds through lush forests and terraced farmlands as you head toward the village of Birethanti. The peaceful surroundings and fresh mountain air set the tone for a relaxing trek ahead.
Continuing from Birethanti, you will ascend gradually through rhododendron and oak forests until you reach Kumai Dada, a serene hilltop known for its panoramic mountain views. This quiet village offers a perfect spot to unwind and enjoy the sunset over the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges.
The trail from Kumai Dada to Ghalel takes you deeper into the heart of the mid-hills, passing through vibrant local villages and pristine forests. Along the way, you’ll observe traditional farming methods and encounter the warm hospitality of the Gurung and Magar communities.
Ghalel is a charming village nestled among terraced fields and forests, offering a peaceful environment for rest. The surrounding area provides spectacular views of the Himalayan peaks, making it a memorable stop on your trek.
On the final day, you will descend from Ghalel back toward Nayapul, walking through verdant forests and picturesque farmland. The trail is mostly downhill and provides ample opportunities to soak in the natural beauty of the region one last time.
Once you reach Nayapul, a short drive will bring you back to Pokhara, where your 3-day Kumai Dada Trek concludes. You’ll return with fond memories of serene hilltop villages, breathtaking mountain views, and authentic rural Nepali culture.
