Itinerary
Your adventure begins with a scenic drive from Pokhara to Khare Khola, the gateway to the Panchase region. From here, the trail leads you through gentle uphill paths covered in lush greenery, terraced farms, and occasional village settlements. The trek gradually unveils panoramic views of the Annapurna ranges as you ascend.
Arriving in Bhanjyang, a peaceful settlement nestled beneath Panchase Hill, you’ll find yourself surrounded by forests of oak, pine, and rhododendron. This tranquil village offers a quiet escape, giving you a taste of rural Nepalese life and a restful evening in a cozy teahouse.
Wake up early to hike up to Panchase Hill, one of the most rewarding viewpoints in the region. The sunrise here is nothing short of magical, illuminating the snow-capped peaks of Dhaulagiri, Annapurna, Machhapuchhre, and Lamjung Himal in golden hues. The forested trail is peaceful, accompanied by birdsong and prayer flags swaying in the breeze.
After taking in the views, descend through the forest toward Bhadaure, a charming village that offers a deeper cultural encounter. Along the trail, you’ll pass small temples, stone steps, and traditional homes while catching glimpses of villagers tending their crops or cattle. The day ends with a warm meal and welcoming smiles at a local lodge.
Today's journey continues through beautiful forest paths and small rural settlements as you head toward Australian Camp. The trail gently ascends and meanders through a peaceful landscape, offering moments of solitude and striking mountain views.
As you reach Australian Camp, you’re greeted with a wide-open vista of the Annapurna range, including close views of Annapurna South and the iconic Machhapuchhre (Fishtail). The camp is perched on a ridge and provides a perfect setting to relax and watch the sunset, with a cozy teahouse awaiting your evening rest.
After a restful night, enjoy your final morning in the Himalayas with a calm breakfast and the crisp mountain air at Australian Camp. The short trek to Kande offers a pleasant descent through forests and terraced fields, wrapping up your scenic mountain experience.
