Perfect for travelers seeking mindful experiences in nature with a touch of luxury.

Itinerary

On Day 1, you'll fly from Kathmandu to Paro, enjoying breathtaking aerial views of the Himalayas before being warmly welcomed by your Bhutanese guide. From Paro, a scenic 5.5-hour drive leads you through charming countryside and up to the famous Dochula Pass at 3,100 meters, where panoramic mountain views and 108 chortens decorate the landscape. After a traditional Bhutanese lunch en route, you’ll continue towards the tranquil Phobjikha Valley—renowned for its sweeping glacial plains and pristine nature. Upon arrival in the late afternoon, check into a cozy lodge overlooking the valley, and unwind with a hearty organic farm-to-table dinner. End the day with a leisurely walk or simply relax by the fireplace as you soak in the serene Himalayan atmosphere.

Begin your day with a guided walk along the enchanting Gangtey Nature Trail, a gentle 2-hour hike through pine forests, open meadows, and traditional village paths that showcase the untouched beauty of the valley. Afterward, visit the historic Gangtey Monastery, an architectural gem perched above the valley and a revered seat of Buddhism in western Bhutan. Post-lunch, head to the Black-Necked Crane Information Center, where you’ll learn about the endangered cranes that migrate here each winter.

Spend the afternoon wandering the valley’s scenic farmlands, meeting locals and observing rural Bhutanese life firsthand. As the sun sets, return to your lodge for a wholesome dinner and optional storytelling session about Phobjikha’s unique culture and environmental significance.

Start your morning with a visit to the Gangtey Shedra (Monastic School), where you’ll have the chance to observe young monks in their daily rituals and studies, gaining insight into Bhutan’s deep-rooted Buddhist traditions. From there, enjoy a hands-on cultural session — choose between learning to prepare Suja (butter tea) with a local family, trying your hand at traditional archery, or making a simple offering in the monastery.

After a hearty Bhutanese lunch, spend the afternoon exploring nearby villages on a relaxed walking tour, witnessing local life amid terraced fields and traditional wooden homes. Conclude your day by attending an atmospheric prayer ceremony back at Gangtey Monastery, listening to rhythmic chants and absorbing the sacred serenity of the space before returning to your lodge for dinner and rest.

After a peaceful breakfast in the valley, begin your return journey to Paro, retracing the beautiful mountain landscapes and forested valleys that make Bhutan so mesmerizing. En route, enjoy relaxed stops for photos, tea, or simply to absorb the natural beauty one last time. Upon arrival in Paro by mid-afternoon, check into your hotel and refresh before heading out to visit Kyichu Lhakhang, one of the oldest and most sacred temples in Bhutan, dating back to the 7th century.

Spend the rest of the afternoon strolling through Paro town’s quaint streets, browsing handicraft shops, or sipping local tea at a traditional café. In the evening, cap off your Bhutan journey with an optional hot stone bath, a rejuvenating wellness ritual that soothes both body and soul. Return to your hotel for a farewell dinner and overnight stay.

Enjoy a relaxed breakfast at your hotel before preparing for departure. Your guide will assist with check-out and transfer you to Paro International Airport, where you'll board your return flight to Kathmandu. As your plane ascends, cherish your last glimpses of Bhutan’s emerald valleys, misty mountains, and sacred monasteries — a farewell to the Land of the Thunder Dragon. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, you’ll be welcomed back with a world of memories from your serene and soulful Bhutan journey. Safe travels and see you on your next adventure!
