Itinerary

After breakfast in Pokhara, you’ll take a scenic drive to Nayapul, the starting point of your trek. The drive winds through rural landscapes, terraced hillsides, and traditional villages, giving you a glimpse of the countryside charm. From Nayapul, the trail begins gradually through Birethanti and climbs steadily along the banks of the Bhurungdi River, eventually leading to Tikhedhunga.

From Tikhedhunga, prepare for a steep uphill hike as you ascend a famous stone staircase with over 3,200 steps leading up to the village of Ulleri. Surrounded by lush forests and glimpses of distant snow-capped peaks, Ulleri welcomes you with comfortable lodges and a well-earned rest. The views of Annapurna South from this vantage point are already a rewarding sight.

Today’s trek begins with a gentle but steady ascent through enchanting oak and rhododendron forests. During spring, this part of the trail is vividly colored with blooming rhododendrons. As you gain elevation, the cool air and bird songs create a serene trekking experience.

Upon arrival at Ghorepani, a picturesque village nestled below the Poonhill ridge, you’re rewarded with sweeping views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri mountain ranges. Ghorepani is a vibrant stop, full of trekkers and cultural interactions with the Magar community. Rest well tonight in preparation for the early morning hike to Poonhill.

Start your day before dawn with a short hike to the Poonhill viewpoint, one of the most iconic panoramic sunrise spots in Nepal. As the sun rises over the Himalayas, you'll witness golden rays lighting up the Dhaulagiri, Annapurna, Nilgiri, and Machhapuchhre (Fishtail) ranges—an unforgettable moment for any trekker.

After soaking in the views, return to Ghorepani for breakfast, then begin your descent through dense forests and ridge trails toward Tadapani and finally to Ghandruk. Ghandruk is a beautiful Gurung village with traditional stone houses and excellent views of Annapurna South and Machhapuchhre. The village also offers cultural museums and warm hospitality.

Today’s trail descends from Ghandruk through lush forests and terraced fields, offering a final taste of rural Himalayan life. You'll pass through small settlements and farmlands as you make your way back toward Nayapul. The descending trail is gentle, making it a relaxing end to your trek.

Upon reaching Nayapul, your private vehicle will be waiting to drive you back to Pokhara. Reflect on the incredible mountain views, warm village experiences, and peaceful forest walks as you return to the lakeside city. Enjoy the evening at leisure in Pokhara or plan further adventures.
