Located within Shey Phoksundo National Park, this trek takes you through remote villages, lush forests, sacred monasteries, and turquoise alpine waters surrounded by dramatic cliffs.

This trek is a perfect blend of adventure, culture, and spirituality — giving you a chance to witness the unique Bon and Tibetan Buddhist traditions, experience pristine landscapes, and immerse yourself in Nepal’s wild west.

Itinerary

  • Early morning flight from Nepalgunj to Juphal (45 min).

  • Scenic drive to Tripurasundari Temple and guided temple tour.

  • Drive to Sulighat, then trek (approx. 2 hrs) to Kageni.

  • Overnight at Suneeta Lodge, Kageni or similar.

  • Full-day trek (8–9 hrs) along beautiful forest and river trails.

  • Overnight at Jharana Hotel, Chunuwar or similar.

  • Trek (3–4 hrs) to Ringmo Village, lunch break.

  • Visit Thasung Tsholing Gompa (Ringmo Monastery), 20 minutes from the village.

  • Overnight at Himalayan Hotel, Ringmo or similar.

  • Morning hike to Phoksundo Lake Viewpoints (1–3 hrs, depending on choice).

  • Enjoy panoramic lake views with changing turquoise hues.

  • Explore trails along the lakeshore and Ringmo village.

  • Overnight at Himalayan Hotel, Ringmo or similar.

  • Trek (6–7 hrs) descending through pine and oak forests.

  • Overnight at Yak Hotel, Chhepka or similar.

  • Final trek (5–6 hrs) back to Juphal.

  • Relax and enjoy your last night in Dolpa.

  • Overnight at Hotel Tripura, Juphal or similar.

  • Early morning scenic flight back to Nepalgunj.
