Itinerary
The adventure begins with a scenic drive from Pokhara to Jhinu Danda, nestled along the Modi Khola river. From Jhinu, the trek passes through terraced fields, small villages, and dense forests before reaching Chhomrong, a charming Gurung village. Trekkers can relax and rejuvenate in the natural Jhinu hot springs after the day’s walk. Overnight is in a cozy teahouse in Chhomrong.

You pass traditional villages and local teahouses before arriving at Dovan, a peaceful campsite surrounded by towering cliffs. Overnight is in a teahouse at Dovan.
This day is one of the highlights of the trek. From Dovan, the trail winds steeply through forests and moraine paths, passing Deurali before reaching the Annapurna Base Camp. Trekkers are rewarded with spectacular panoramic views of Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, Machapuchhre, and the surrounding peaks. The crisp mountain air and the impressive icefall at Machapuchhre Base make this a memorable experience. Overnight is in a teahouse at ABC.
After an early morning sunrise over the Annapurna range, the trek descends along the same trail, passing through Deurali and Bamboo. Trekkers can enjoy the diverse flora, scenic viewpoints, and small waterfalls along the way. Overnight is in a teahouse at Bamboo.
From Bamboo, the trail branches towards the Mardi Himal Base Camp route. The trek passes through rhododendron and oak forests, alongside local settlements, and gradually ascends to Forest Camp, offering a serene environment surrounded by nature. Overnight is in a teahouse.
Today is a challenging but rewarding climb through dense forests and rocky trails to High Camp, the base for Mardi Himal. The trek opens up stunning views of Machapuchhre, Mardi Himal, Annapurna South, and Hiunchuli, especially at sunrise and sunset. Overnight is at High Camp in a teahouse.
Trekkers descend from High Camp towards Kalaimati Village, bypassing Siding. The trail is quieter, offering a peaceful descent through forested ridges, traditional villages, and terraced fields. Overnight is in a local teahouse at Kalaimati.
The final trekking day involves a gentle descent to Phedi or Lumre, followed by a drive back to Pokhara. In the evening, trekkers can enjoy leisure time exploring Phewa Lake, Barahi Temple, Devi’s Fall, or the local markets, reflecting on the adventure. Overnight is in a comfortable hotel in Pokhara.
